Instrumentation and Control Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our team at a Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) in Dakar, Senegal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in I&C maintenance within a CCPP or power generation facility.
• Fluent in English (Mandatory).
• French knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
• Experience with field instrumentation, analyzers, sensors, and control valves.
• Ability to interpret I&C schematics, P&ID diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
• Strong adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of I&C systems, including DCS, SCADA, PLC, field instrumentation, and control valves.
• Knowledge of Turbine Control Systems, such as Siemens T300, GE Mark VIe will be plus.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure plant reliability and efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve control system faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Support plant overhauls, shutdowns, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize plant performance.
