Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is looking for a Strategic Communications Advisor (SCA) to join its Communications and Fundraising Department in Dakar, Senegal.

Key responsibilities
The SCA will:
- Provide strategic advice on public positioning and communications.
- Develop communication strategies, key messages and communication tools.
- Produce and coordinate content including press releases, articles, social media content, Q&As and opinion pieces.
- Manage media relations and support public communications.
- Lead communication support during emergencies and crises.
- Advise and mentor field communication teams.
- Undertake field missions and support communication strategies at country level.
- Contribute to communication projects across MSF.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Communication, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Public Relations or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in journalism, communications and/or content production, preferably in the
- humanitarian sector.
- The ideal candidate has strong skills in strategic communication, crisis communication, media relations,
- writing and content development, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent French and English required.
- MSF and/or field experience is a strong asset.
